CFO has provided the top duck hunting for over a decade in the flooded potholes along the gulf coast area of Tamauliupas.
The area is known for producing tremendous hunts for pintail and redheads! However, it is not uncommon for as many as 15 species of waterfowl to be harvested on any given hunt! Species commonly shot are pintail, redhead, bluebill, widgeon, scaup, canvasback, spoonbills, ring neck, mottled duck, ruddy ducks, buffel heads, merganser, Fulvous and Black belly whistling ducks, teal (blue wing, greening, and cinnamon).
Hunters will hunt in pits, blinds and occasionally boats as they hunt the flooded fields each winter along the famous Laguna Madre Bay just south of the US border and along the Gulf of Mexico coast.
CFO will provide the hunter with the latest and best of equipment and vehicles during their hunt. Guns (Benelli automatics) are provided for those not wanting to bring their own. Hunters will need waders during their hunt, and even those can be purchased at the lodge.
Ducks are hunted in the morning, followed by an afternoon of dove shooting or even quail hunting in the fields near the lodge. Drives to and from fields will normally be under an hour, although on dry years CFO has the ability to go to remote locations for those hunters willing to travel for the best shoots.
Like all Crazy Feather Hunting camps Benelli Shotguns are provided at the lodge for those not wanting to transport arms. Hip boots and waders are for sell at lodge for those hunters not wanting to carry boots in their luggage.
Hunters will fly into Brownsville, TX airport and then be transported by van to and from the lodge near San Fernando, Tam., Mexico. |
